MAGUS CLM30 digital camera

The CLM30 is a digital microscope camera from MAGUS, designed for fluorescence, brightfield and darkfield imaging. It captures colour images at 3840x2160 pixels at up to 45 frames per second, or at 1920x1080 pixels at up to 70 frames per second. Its 8.3 MP sensor works with 4x, 10x, 20x and 40x objectives, so fine details are shown clearly and moving specimens are recorded as smooth video.

The camera uses a 1/1.2-inch SONY Exmor colour CMOS sensor with back-illuminated technology. A built-in Peltier element cools the sensor to 42 °C below room temperature, reducing thermal noise and allowing long exposure times during extended use. It mounts on the trinocular tube of the microscope through a C-mount adapter and connects to a computer via a fast USB 3.0 interface.

The bundled software lets you take photos and videos, process results, and perform linear and angular measurements on specimens. Each objective must be calibrated before measuring. For presentations, images can be shown in real time on an external display.
