Color camera with digital CMOS backlight. The sensor is characterized by a low noise level and increased light sensitivity (462 mV at 1/30 sec). The camera takes clear, detailed pictures even in low light conditions. Used for darkfield or brightfield studies with 4x, 10x and 20x objectives. The MAGUS CDF70 camera provides a high degree of detail even when observing moving objects.

The maximum resolution of the camera is 5440x3648 px. At this resolution, the frame rate is 20 fps. If you set a lower resolution, you can achieve a higher frame rate: 2736x1824 px (48 fps) or 1824x1216 px (58 fps). With such a resolution and speed, the camera can also be used to monitor moving objects. The transition of the frames is even, without delay, so the object can be excellently observed and presented to the audience.

The MAGUS CDF70 camera can be installed in the microscope's triple-lens tube or eyepiece tube (in place of the eyepiece). In both cases, a suitable diameter C-thread adapter and adapter rings are required for installation in the eyepiece tube. The camera built into the microscope is connected to the computer via a USB 3.0 port with a data transfer speed of 5 Gbps.

Before you start using it, you need to install the supplied MAGUS View software and drivers on your computer. The software is required for all functions of the camera: displaying images on the monitor, taking photos and videos, editing, etc. The program must be calibrated for each objective using a calibration slide (optional accessory).
