The MAGUS Bio 230TL biological microscope is an indispensable tool in health control laboratories as well as in diagnostic and research centers. The microscope has a three-eye lens head and a transmitted light source (LED). It is suitable for observing translucent and transparent samples. In its basic configuration, the microscope uses a bright-field technique for observations. With additional accessories, microscopy techniques such as dark field, polarized light and phase contrast are available for further research.

Digital camera
Digital camera with a 2 megapixel sensor for examining micro-objects using dark field or bright field microscopy techniques. The camera has a backlit color SONY Exmor CMOS sensor. This increases light sensitivity (2350mV at 1/30s) and improves image quality in low light conditions. Optimum performance can be achieved by using lenses with 40x, 60x and 100x magnification.

The MAGUS CDF10 camera can display the image of the object in Full HD (1920x1080 px) resolution on the computer monitor, as well as record photos and videos in various formats. Data transfer between the camera and the computer takes place via a USB 3.0 interface with a data transfer rate of 5 Gbps. At maximum resolution, the video is displayed at 125 frames per second with smooth transitions between frames. The camera is excellent for studying moving objects and can also be used for lectures or presentations.

Optical elements
The observation tubes can be rotated 360°, which ensures the adjustment of the eyepieces to the height of the observer. It is possible to adjust the diopter of the left tube. A vertical tube is available for mounting the digital camera (sold separately).

The microscope uses infinity-achromatic objectives, and 5 objectives can be mounted in the turret at the same time. A slot is left free to add an additional lens. The turret with the lenses faces the inside - the user can see the lenses inserted into the optical path. The magnification range of the microscope ranges from 40 to 1000x, the upper limit can be increased to 1500, 1600 or 2000x with additional eyepieces.

Lighting
Thanks to the LED bulb, the color temperature does not change when the lighting is adjusted. The LED bulb is 3W, has a lifespan of 50,000 hours, and operates on an alternating current (AC) power supply.

The Abbe condenser has a slot into which the dark field slider or phase slider can be inserted. With the sliders, switching between microscopic techniques is much faster. The microscope is also equipped with a field diaphragm for adjusting the Köhler illumination. The condenser is adjustable in height and can be centered.

Stage and focusing structure
The pattern can be moved easily and accurately. The mechanical fixation can be removed from the stage if necessary (e.g. for manual scanning). In addition, the stage without a positioning stand is easier to work with.

The focus buttons are coaxial and located on both sides of the microscope, allowing the user to rest their hands freely on the table. There is a fine and coarse focus button. The structures move easily, so no additional effort is required. The device has a coarse focus voltage control knob and a coarse focus lock knob.

Accessories
Optional accessories expand the performance of the MAGUS Bio 230TL microscope depending on the specific applications. These include eyepieces, objectives, dark-field and phase-contrast condensers, polarizing devices, digital cameras, calibration slides, etc.
