The MAGUS Bio 240T is a small biological microscope built for educational and research purposes. The equipment was designed for the examination of transparent and translucent biological samples using the bright field method. The microscope has a coded turret that maintains the selected light intensity of the objectives. The operating parameters can be displayed on the LCD screen.

The Bio 240T model is equipped with a three-lens head, in the vertical tube of which a digital video camera can be attached. The beam resolution is 0/100 and 100/0. The optics of the microscope head are corrected to infinity. The tubes rotate and can make a full turn. The eye distance is adjustable and the user can also set the desired height. The two eyepiece tubes are equipped with a diopter adjustment ring, so the sharpness of the image can be adjusted to the user's vision. 2 standard 10x/20 mm eyepieces are included with the microscope. They have eyecups made of rubber, which also provides comfort for users with glasses, as the eyecups protect the glasses from possible damage.

The turret head is designed to be used with 4 lenses. The revolver is turned away from the user, leaving the area above the stage free. Intelligent lighting can remember the brightness settings of each lens, so the desired brightness is automatically turned on when the turret head is turned. Consequently, there is no significant difference in the illumination of each lens, and the eyes do not get tired. In addition, you can save time by adjusting the light, especially if you need to change the zoom frequently while working.

The microscope has coaxially arranged coarse and fine focusing knobs. The handles are located at the bottom of the microscope frame: the user can place his hands on the table and assume a comfortable position during observation. The coarse focus button is on the left. It is used for adjustment after switching between lenses. The ring on the right adjusts the tightness of the coarse focus range of motion.

The stage's belt-driven mechanism gently moves the specimen along the stage. The sample holder is fixed by two screws, which can be completely removed if necessary.

Another characteristic of the microscope is the Abbe condenser, which was fixed and centered along the optical axis. Because it is fixed, the condenser cannot be moved accidentally, which is an important consideration for an educational microscope.
The numerical aperture value of the condenser is 1.25. There are markings on the frame showing the magnification values ​​of the lens. The iris diaphragm can be adjusted with a button that is set to a certain marking depending on the lens selected. In this way, the image becomes more contrasty and the pattern is more visible.

The microscope's light source is provided by a 3 W LED with a lifespan of 50,000 operating hours. The illumination of the microscope can modify the color temperature in the range between 3000 and 7000 K. The user can set the desired value depending on the required test parameters.

The selected settings - working lens magnification, illumination characteristics and operating mode - are displayed on the LCD screen. With the help of a pair of buttons, you can set the light, the sleep mode or the automatic switch-off time.

The design of the microscope is comfortable and functional. After the microscope has been installed in the work area, the power supply and the power cable are not visible to the user. The side openings of the stand can be used as handles to carry or move the microscope.
