MAGUS Bio 230BL is a binocular microscope with achromatic objectives and LED illumination for observing biological samples (such as smears and thin sections). Observations are made with a transmitted light (bright field of view) microscopic technique. The microscope can optionally be equipped with dark field, polarized light and phase contrast devices. Areas of application: pharmaceutical industry, medicine, biotechnology, veterinary medicine, forensic medicine, agriculture, etc.

Optical elements
The observation tubes can be rotated 360°, which allows the eyepieces to be adjusted to the height of the observer. There is a diopter adjustment ring on the left tube. A digital camera (sold separately) can be mounted in the same tube.

Since the turret has 5 apertures, in addition to the included lenses, another lens can be attached to achieve even greater magnification in the possible zoom range. The magnification of the microscope basically ranges from 40 to 1000x, and the upper limit can be increased to 1500, 1600 or 2000x by adding additional eyepieces. The optics of the microscope are corrected to infinity. The revolver head faces the inner part.

Lighting
The transmitted light source is a 3 W LED powered by an alternating current (AC) power supply. By adjusting the brightness of the lighting, the color temperature remains unchanged, and the lifetime of the LED is 50,000 hours.

The lighting can be controlled by adjusting the aperture and field diaphragms, i.e. it is also possible to adjust the Köhler lighting. The Abbe condenser is adjustable in height and can be centered. It is possible to insert a darkfield slider or a phase contrast slider in one of the openings of the condenser. The sliders make it easy for the user to switch from one microscopy technique to another.

Stage and focusing structure
You can move the examined object on the specimen table with the mechanical attachment, which can be removed if necessary. There is no positioning stand on the stage, so the mechanical part takes up less space.

Focusing can be adjusted by moving the coarse and fine focus buttons. These buttons are located on the same axis (coaxially) on both sides of the microscope. They are located on the base, so they can be turned comfortably by hand without exerting any effort. The coarse focus has a lock button and is adjustable in tension. The knob is easy and simple to turn.
