The MAGUS Bio 230B microscope is used for laboratory and scientific research, for observing biological samples (such as thin sections or smears). The samples are analyzed using a transmitted light (bright field of view) microscopic technique. If necessary, the microscope can be equipped with additional accessories for dark field, polarized light and phase contrast techniques. The microscope can be used in research fields such as pharmaceuticals, medicine, biotechnology, environmental protection, forensic medicine and agriculture.

Optical elements
The microscope has a binocular head. The observation tubes can be rotated 360°, so the user can adjust the position according to their height. There is a diopter adjustment ring on the left tube. The turret has 5 apertures and faces the inside - the user can see the objectives inserted in the optical path, leaving the area above the stage clear. The kit includes four achromatic objectives, and the fifth slot can be used to mount an optional objective.

Optics corrected to infinity. The magnification of the microscope basically ranges from 40 to 1000x. This can be expanded to 1500, 1600 and 2000x with additional eyepieces. If necessary, a digital camera can be installed in the eyepiece tube (not part of the package).

Lighting
The light source is a halogen bulb located on the base of the microscope. The warm light reduces eye strain and is ideal for long hours of work with the microscope. The 30 W halogen lamp enables sharp and high-contrast images with any type of objective and any microscopy technique (including darkfield and phase contrast).

The Abbe condenser can be centered and its position is adjustable in height. The phase-contrast or dark-field slider can be mounted in a special slot, so you can easily switch between microscopy techniques. The field diaphragm allows adjustment of the Köhler illumination.

Stage and focusing structure
There is no positioning stand on the stage, which makes working with the microscope easier. A mechanical attachment ensures smooth movement of the sample on the stage (the attachment can be removed if necessary).

The coarse and fine focus knobs are coaxial (located on the same axis) and located on both sides of the bottom of the microscope. The location of the focus buttons allows you to rest your hands freely on the table and sit comfortably during long periods of work. The focus can be easily adjusted, requiring no effort. The coarse focus has a lock button and the focus voltage can be adjusted.

Accessories
Additional equipment – ​​such as objectives, eyepieces, phase contrast devices, dark field condensers, polarizing devices, digital cameras or other accessories – can be used to expand the performance of the microscope. These optional accessories are designed for the MAGUS Bio 230B.
