Product description
"This delicately anachronistic delicacy was born from the mash-up of Jane Austin, Oscar Wilde and Indiana Jones." Kirkus Reviews
A year after she and her brother Monty embarked on an adventure, Felicity Montague returns to England. On the one hand, he is running away from a marriage proposal, and on the other hand, he wants to enroll in medical school. But even though he is intelligent and passionate, the school management rejects him because they believe that only men can represent science.
However, a new opportunity suddenly opens up in front of him: a famous doctor, whom he admires even though he is unknown, marries his childhood friend living in Germany. Felicity adamantly believes that her life would change if she could meet the doctor, but there's a catch: she doesn't have the money for the long trip. Fortunately, a mysterious young woman is willing to cover the costs if she can go with him as his maid.
Despite her doubts, Felicity agrees, but when her travel companion's true motives are revealed, they drift together on a perilous mission from the German countryside to the streets of Zurich, and from there to the secrets hidden in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean.
