Lukácsy György - Csíksomlyói passió

Product content: On August 18, 2018, the Passion of Csíksomlyo, directed by Attila Vidnyánszky, was presented as a monumental open-air performance in Csíksomlyo. The show was a joint production of the National Theater and the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble, but it is much more than an outdoor adaptation of a theater performance.
The beautiful exhibition album published by MMA Kiadó recalls the monumental enterprise from several aspects. In addition to excerpts from the Transylvanian holiday performance, archaic tales and songs compiled by András Berecz, we will be able to read a study on Franciscan school dramas, and of course the main creators of the performance will also speak. Director Attila Vidnyánszky and artistic director and choreographer Zoltán Zsuráfszky testify about why this grandiose performance is a milestone in their careers. You can read interviews with the actors involved, and experience-like reports with the dancers from Székelyföld.
Anyone who picks up the book can admire how this large-scale production was put together in beautiful photographs. The exclusive pictures of Imre Benkő, winner of the Prima Primissima award, and Zsolt Szabó Eöri, photographer of the National Theatre, help to recall everything that 25,000 people experienced on the spot.
