L.J. Shen - Vicious - Ádáz (Sinners of Saint 1.)

I'm obsessed with it. She is my muse. And my enemy.

EMILIA
They say love and hate are two sides of the same coin. And that's true. The man I dream about also haunts my nightmares. Brilliant lawyer. A skilled criminal. Beautiful liar. Abuser and rescuer, monster and lover in one person.

Ten years ago, he chased us out of the small town where we lived. Now he's come to New York after me and won't leave until I'm with him.

VICIOUS
A starving artist. Beautiful and elusive like cherry blossoms. Ten years ago, he burst into my life without warning and turned it completely upside down. He paid for it.

Emilia LeBlanc is untouchable, my best friend's ex-girlfriend. She knows my darkest secret and is the daughter of the housekeeper we hired to keep our estate tidy. That should be enough to keep me from running after him, but it's not. So he hates you. It's not a damn big deal. You'd better get used to being around me.

"It was amazing and thought-provoking.
It stayed with me long after I read the last few sentences."

"This story deservedly got a lot of publicity.
It is one of my favorite books
you would start over as soon as you read them. So good."
