This extender also supports lossless audio formats, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD, to add powerful multi-channel sound to video content for an even better experience and immersion for the viewer. A USB KM connection via 3 USB HID ports allows the keyboard and mouse on the receiver to control a DP-equipped PC from a remote PC setup that can be stored in a secure or temperature-controlled environment, while seamlessly delivering consistent video content from the display. . The use of LC fiber between transmitter and receiver provides a reliable, cheaper connection over much greater distances than is possible via copper cable, and is excellent for use in electronically _noisy_ environments such as factory workshops or medical facilities.

With the two included units, signals can be extended up to 300m, so the transmitter can be easily connected to various DisplayPort source devices, such as PCs and laptops, in a more convenient location, while the receiver can be placed in a suitable field of view. With a LFD (large format display), monitor or projector, ensuring that bulky source devices do not distract from the display. This versatility provides the right system for a variety of scenarios, such as educational demonstrations, CAD facilities, or remote server administration.

Note: Lindy_s 10GBase-LR/LW SFP+ LC single-mode (25039) fiber modules can be used as an alternative to the included Mini GBIC multi-mode LC modules, increasing the extender's maximum range to 500m (1640.4ft).
