LEVENHUK Ra R66 ED Doublet Carbon OTA

The L evenhuk Ra R66 ED Doublet Carbon OTA apochromatic refractor has a carbon fiber body, making it lighter and more compact than many other telescopes, making it convenient for use in the field. The telescope provides a clear and contrasted image, provides a good overview and excels in astrophotography. You can easily capture unforgettable photos of the night sky with this optical tube assembly (OTA), but it is also useful for visual observations. With this optical tube assembly, you can observe all the objects in the Messier catalog, many nebulae and star clusters, and some of the planets of the Solar System.

The optics are made of particularly low-dispersion glass, so the image is free of chromatic distortions, which are a problem with most refractors, including achromatic ones. They effectively reduce chromatic aberrations, especially secondary and spherochromatic aberrations. As a result, the image is of excellent quality even at high magnification. The built-in 2-speed Crayford focus allows precise and smooth focus adjustment.

Since the optics are housed in a carbon fiber body, temperature stabilization is twice as fast. This is due to the fact that carbon does not change its properties due to temperature changes, and therefore it is enough to wait until the optics "cool down" to start observation. The optical tube can be mounted on most modern mounts. The kit includes a convenient and robust aluminum case for transporting and storing the telescope.
