The Ermenrich Zing AL45 is a purple battery tester for quickly checking the condition of a car battery or an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). It connects to the positive and negative terminals with two clips, and it is powered by the battery under test, so no separate power supply is needed.
The readings appear on the built-in display. The top line shows the overall battery condition as a percentage: values between 40 and 60 percent suggest it may be time to consider a replacement, while anything below 40 percent indicates reduced performance. Readings above 60 percent are considered good. The display also shows voltage, internal resistance and cold cranking amps (CCA). The control buttons are located at the bottom of the device.
