The Ermenrich QM10 air quality sensor is a hand-held instrument for analyzing the composition of indoor air, detecting elevated levels of harmful substances and monitoring the microclimate. It can be used in home and commercial environments - offices, hotels, schools, kindergartens, cafes, shops, etc., but not for industrial purposes - the TVOC (volatile organic compounds) measurement range is 0.0-10.0 mg/m3, which is not enough to detect the higher concentrations often found in industrial environments.

The device has four sensors: HCHO for formaldehyde monitoring in the 0.00-5.00 ppm or 0.00-6.25 mg/m3 range, TVOC for volatile organic compounds detection, temperature sensor and humidity sensor for microclimate studies. After renovation, it is recommended to check the formaldehyde content of the air, as some furniture, paints and laminates can emit formaldehyde. Monitoring TVOC is important for the timely detection of evaporation from cleaning products, some cosmetics and interior items, as well as for the detection of "chemical smells" found in new buildings. Controlling the microclimate makes it possible to prevent mold growth (which usually occurs at humidity above 60%) and to create a pleasant environment for allergy sufferers.

The Ermenrich QM10 air quality sensor can detect more than 23 types of hazardous gases, including benzenes, alkanes, aromatic hydrocarbons, olefins, halogenated hydrocarbons, esters, aldehydes, ketones, etc. The device gives separate alarms for HCHO and TVOC. It starts when a certain threshold value is crossed. In this case, it warns the user with a sound ("buzzer") and light signal. The sound signal can be turned off. The monitor can also indicate excessively high humidity and temperature.

For accurate operation, the TVOC sensor must be calibrated upon first use and every 12 hours thereafter. Calibration is automatic. The device sends a notification 10 seconds before the start, and then the zero value is updated automatically. The measurement results are displayed on a large 3.2" color LCD display. It also displays the time and date, making it easy to track the number of hours worked on site.

The monitor is powered by a built-in 1500 mA h, 3.7 V battery, which is capable of continuous operation for 6 hours when fully charged. Charging is done with a Type-C USB cable (supplied) and a power adapter (sold separately). The housing of the device is made of high-strength ABS plastic, and the buttons are made of pleasant-to-touch HTV silicone.
