The Ermenrich Netgeeks NU25 Optical Multimeter is a multifunctional device that can be used to measure optical performance, search for cable breaks, and to determine the fiber optic network and other features.

The VFL (Visual DebT) function allows you to assess cable damage using light signals. There are three kinds of such signs: constantly illuminating, slowly flashing, and quickly flashing. Other network test results also appear on the backlight, colorful TFT screen, including the examination of the connector's crimping quality and the frequency of the detected signal. The device connector is protected by a removable plastic cap from dust and water.

The device can be used on one of the six main wavelengths: 850, 980, 1310, 1490, 1550 or 1625 nm. The VFL function has a separate 650 nm wavelength and can detect the 270 Hz, 1 kHz and 2 kHz frequencies. The device has an FC/SC/ST standard optical connectors and a RJ45 network connector.
