A stormy winter day in England, three months after the beginning of our story. Maya, who met in the azure bicycle, is now struggling as a single parent with the consequences of her previous decisions, and on this afternoon before Christmas, another difficult choice awaits her. The French chef Gabriel has since become the owner of a successful restaurant, but he cannot escape from his past. An unexpected visitor disrupts his life, which he thought was perfect, and his whole world seems to collapse. Jaron, the eighteen-year-old Israeli boy, is also faced with a decision that cannot be postponed: should he choose his country and his duty, or his new life, which is now intertwined with his homesick, distraught Polish girlfriend? Messer, the cheerful cameraman filming in London, also has his plans upset: he suddenly has to start all over again, and he is afraid that he will not be able to overcome the difficulties that this day has in store. The novel's new character is the former successful athlete Veronie, who is trying to maintain a children's home in Falmouth, which she created with her own strength, until her supporters back out...The fire is burning in the lives of all of them - but will it be enough to get through what is perhaps the most defining day of their lives? ?
