The Lanberg DSP2-1005 is a small, unmanaged desktop switch equipped with 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports. The device is small and practical, works on a Plug & Play basis. The switch supports switching support for 5 RJ-45 10/100/1000 Mbps ports, automatic connection negotiation and MDI-MDIX support.

A distinctive feature of the DSP1 and DSP2 series is the use of a universal 12V power supply, used in many other devices in the field of surveillance, CCTV, alarms, security and IT. Thanks to this solution, the end user, ISP or installer is not forced to use the factory power supply, which gives them complete freedom in how they use the voltage to power the switch. The advantages of using 12 V are:

- Power and data can be transmitted via this Ethernet cable with PoE technology - in a passive version. One end of the cable is connected to a 12 V passive port, and the other end is separated from the other by a passive adapter. This solves two issues: resource and data. Thanks to this, with the same cable, the switch is supplied with the correct voltage, and the RJ-45 end of the cable connected to the switch allows both devices to communicate,

- 12 V voltage is present in alarm systems and older CCTV solutions. In such cases, a collective power supply is used, which eliminates the need for an additional power supply and allows easy replacement of the main module in case of failure,

The flow control function allows you to control the flow of data, thereby avoiding congestion on the port in the event that one of the receiving devices is unable to receive enough data.
