KOSMOS Glow-in-the-dark crystal set experiment kit 645687

This experiment kit from KOSMOS lets you grow crystals that glow in the dark. Designed for children aged 10 and up, it is intended for indoor use. The set includes two bags of potassium aluminium sulphate (alum), a glow-in-the-dark crystal base, a measuring cup, a stirring stick, a treasure chest and an instruction booklet with colourful illustrations.

You will also need water, a clean glass jar, a kettle or saucepan, oven gloves, a waterproof felt-tip pen, tweezers, thin sewing thread, scissors and a small screwdriver from home. Growing the crystals requires patience and precision, and it encourages a scientific way of thinking.

The kit may only be used under adult supervision. Keep it away from young children and pets, and do not bring the chemicals near the mouth or eyes.
