KOMSHINE KFI-45 optical fiber identifier + VFL + OPM

The KOMSHINE KFI-45 is a multifunctional optical fiber identifier that also includes a visual fault locator (VFL) and an optical power meter (OPM). It lets you determine the direction and relative power of the signal in a live fiber without interrupting the transmission.

The universal fiber clamp for 0.25, 0.9, 2 and 3 mm cables and the one-button operation make it simple to use. The VFL function uses a 10 mW laser at 650 nm and reaches test distances of roughly 5 to 8 km. The built-in power meter works across the 850 to 1700 nm wavelength range with a resolution of 0.01 dB and an accuracy of ±0.2 dB.

The OFI module measures from -40 dBm to +10 dBm and detects CW, 270 Hz, 1 kHz and 2 kHz signals. An integrated LED light helps in dark environments, and the backlit display makes readings easy to follow. It runs on AA batteries or a 1000 mAh lithium cell and operates between -10 °C and +60 °C.
