Kij Johnson - Vellit Boe álom-utazása

2017 World Fantasy Award-nominated, Nebula, Hugo, Locus, John W. Campbell, and Shirley Jackson Award-winning story

Kij Johnson's charming and terrifying book both revives and puts a different light on H.P. Lovecraft's classic dark fantasy stories, this time from the perspective of a female protagonist.

Vellitt Boe is a teacher at the famous Ulthar Girls' College. When his most talented student runs off with a dreamer from the waking world, he has no choice but to embark on a dangerous journey to find her, as the fate of the entire university may depend on it. Recalling the wanderings of his youth, he journeys through a world dominated by mad, dreamlike logic, ruled by capricious and cruel gods and populated by fantastic, nightmarish creatures.

However, his mission takes him not only to the alarming land of dreams, but also to the depths of his own mysterious past, where secrets lurk in the shadows - secrets that should not become reality.
