Kiera Cass - A szirén

Love worth risking for.

Many years ago, the Ocean saved Kahlen from drowning, and since then she repays her debt by serving as a siren, luring people to their deaths with her voice. Kahlen can kill with a single word, yet she can't resist the temptation to spend her days on land, watching ordinary people, longing for the day when she can once again speak, laugh, and live freely among them.
Kahlen has resigned herself to spending the rest of her service alone... But that's when she meets Akinli. Handsome, warm-hearted and kind, Akinli embodies everything Kahlen has dreamed of all her life. Although he can't talk to her, they soon develop a connection that neither of them can deny... And Kahlen doesn't want to deny it either.
She broke all the laws of the Ocean when she fell in love with a human, and she must leave the boy forever if the Ocean learns of her feelings. But Kahlen was determined that after a lifetime of following the rules, this time she was going to follow her heart.

Kiera was a student at Radford University and currently lives in Christiansburg, Virginia with her family. He spent the first nineteen years of his life by the ocean, which never tried to destroy him.
