Kertész Erzsi - Állat KávéZoo

Állat KávéZoo is a storybook, animal encyclopedia and behavioral science at the same time. Tigers, lions, ostriches, parrots, and even penguins visit the antelopes that open KávéZoo in the jungle. And they get in shape, they're like us: the penguins position themselves, the macaw-groom is snobby, the ostriches' business policy: ostrich policy, the lions practice kindness, and the tiger is simply a bloodthirsty carnivore, at least until he tastes Antika's rice pudding. Then the hummingbird nesting above, the black widow turning her husband's corpse into raisin yogurt and, not to mention, a whole horde of monkeys...
As we were used to in Labirinto and Dalia and Dália, the author's bold linguistic humor and situational comedy are also funny and cuttingly ironic, befitting a cabaret.

The book's illustrator, Réka Hanga, was named Illustrator of the Year in 2015, and in 2016 he was on the international IBBY Honor List.
