They are worlds apart. And even though they bump into walls - whether it's the border line that cuts Berlin in half, a prison cell or a hospital room - they are nevertheless driven towards each other by some mysterious attraction.
In April 1987, Soja, a 39-year-old flower seller who had moved from East Germany and was hungry for love, and Harry, who was in prison and a drug addict, meet in West Berlin. The man longs for a free life, the woman for the man. Their fates inevitably collide, but can either of them get what they want?
