The little boy is placed in state care, where, to the utter astonishment of the educators, he does strange things: he floats above his bed while he sleeps, he predicts the events of the near future, and he can bring dead animals back to the ranks of the living just by touching them. Then, on a cold, winter day, three men in suits take him away.
