Johanna Sinisalo - Iron Sky

After the fall of the Nazis, the Fourth Reich was created - on the moon. Adolf Hitler's body has (in principle) disappeared without a trace, but the National Socialist ideology continues to live in its heyday, on another celestial body. The book is about a young woman who believes in racial superiority and all the doctrines she learned from Earth. But when an American spacecraft arrives on the moon in 2018, everything changes. Renate travels to Earth to speak to people about the virtues of the morally superior Nazi way of life, but what she finds there is nothing like the propaganda. Reflecting the absurdity of the world, the work holds a merciless curved mirror before us, showing the blindness and self-destructive effects of our civilization. It is a political satire about the shameless greed of power, the manipulation of the masses, the effects of ideologies - and, of course, the endless stupidity of humanity. The novel is based on the script of the movie Iron Sky and Johanna Sinisalo's research, and the book is thus its so-called. "writer's version", seasoned with humor darker than space.
