J. R. Ward - A vadállat

Nothing is the same for the Black Dagger Brotherhood. After avoiding the war with the shadows, alliance conditions changed, new boundaries were drawn. The members of the Society of the Underdog are stronger than ever, exploiting human weakness to gain more money, more weapons, and more power. But while the Black Dagger Brotherhood is preparing a large-scale attack against them, one of the brothers is forced to fight a tough battle with himself.
Everyone thinks Rhage, the fighter with the biggest appetite and the biggest heart, is perfect... or at least perfectly entertaining. There he has his beloved half, Mary, and the life of his king and brothers is going great. However, Rhage doesn't understand - and can't control - the panic and uncertainty that comes over him from time to time. This terrifies him and distances him from his partner. When he is mortally wounded in battle, he must reevaluate what is important in his life. And the answer shakes his world to its foundations... and Mary's too. However, Mary is also concerned with something important, something that will either bring them even closer to each other, or drive them so far away that they can no longer find their way back to the other.
