The Intel Ethernet SFP+ SR is a pluggable optical transceiver module that provides 1GbE and 10GbE network connectivity. It uses an LC connector and operates at an 850 nm wavelength, supporting the 1000Base-SX and 10GBase-SR standards with a maximum data rate of 10 Gbps.
Designed for the Intel Ethernet X520 server adapter family, it suits data centre, HPC, database cluster and video-on-demand environments. On X520 adapters it can be flexibly exchanged for other SFP+ optical modules, copper direct-attach cables or 1000BASE-T SFP modules.
The module complies with RoHS, MSA SFF-8431, SFF-8472, SFF-8432, IEC 60825 and EN 60950. Its operating temperature range is 0 to 70 °C, and it includes a diagnostic function for network monitoring.
