The Intel Core i7-12700K is a 12th-generation (Alder Lake) processor for the LGA-1700 socket. It combines eight performance cores and four efficiency cores, giving 20 threads in total, with a base clock of 3.6 GHz and a turbo clock of up to 5 GHz. The processor is supplied without a cooler, so a separate CPU cooling solution is required for operation.

Key features include 12 MB of L2 cache and 25 MB of L3 cache, support for SSE4.1, SSE4.2 and AVX2 instructions, and memory support of up to 128 GB of DDR4-3200 or DDR5-4800. Its base power consumption is 125 watts, with a maximum of 190 watts.

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 supports up to four displays and DirectX 12, with HDMI output at up to 4096 x 2160 pixels at 60 Hz and DisplayPort at up to 7680 x 4320 pixels at 60 Hz. The processor is compatible with Windows 11.
