The Intel Core i5-12500 is a 12th-generation (Alder Lake) processor for the LGA-1700 socket. It has 6 performance cores and 12 threads, with a base clock of 3.0 GHz and a turbo boost of up to 4.6 GHz. Its rated power is 65 watts, with a maximum power draw of 117 watts. The processor supports Intel SSE4.1, SSE4.2 and AVX2, and handles DDR4-3200 and DDR5-4800 memory up to 128 GB.

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 provides video output via HDMI at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz and via DisplayPort at up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz. It supports DirectX 12 and up to four displays at once, so a separate graphics card is not needed for everyday desktop use.

This is the OEM version, supplied without a cooler, so a suitable CPU cooler must be purchased separately. The processor is compatible with Windows 11.
