The Icy Box IB-563SSK is an aluminium mobile rack that houses three 3.5-inch SAS/SATA III internal drives in two 5.25-inch drive bays. It suits PC builders who need to fit several storage drives into a standard case.
The rack supports hot-swap, so hard drives can be replaced while the system is running without removing screws. A built-in 80 mm fan keeps the drives cool. LED indicators show when the unit is powered, when a drive is being accessed, and also cover power and alarm status.
Power is supplied through two 4-pin and two SATA power connectors. The black unit measures 215 x 148 x 86 mm and weighs about 1,320 grams, so it blends discreetly into most computer cases.
