The HPE CW 2150 switch is a fully managed Layer 3 solution designed for small and medium-sized businesses and branch offices. It provides 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports along with 2 SFP and 2 SFP+ expansion slots, allowing flexible connections at both 1G and 10G speeds. The unit is rack-mountable and includes two USB ports.

For stable network operation, the switch offers advanced Quality of Service features, IPv6 support and dynamic Layer 3 routing protocols such as RIP and OSPF. An IRF stack of up to nine units can be built to provide redundant links and high availability.

Security features include encrypted management access via SSHv2, SSL, SNMPv3 and TLS, as well as 802.1X, MAC and web-based authentication with RADIUS and TACACS+ support. Threat prevention covers Control Plane Policing, ARP and DHCP protection and port security settings. Management is possible through a web GUI, industry-standard CLI, HPE Intelligent Management Center or SNMP-based tools.
