HOYA UV-IR Cut 62mm

The Hoya UV and IR light transmission curve shows the sharp cutting nature of filter glass and coatings, as well as consistent light transmission in the visible spectrum. This curve shows an even more consistent light transmission than the nearest competitor. This means that the Hoya UV & IR Cut filter can be used for sharper images with greater depth and finer, richer color gradients.

The effect of the filter is primarily through the multilayer coatings on the filter surface. Hoya starts with crystal clear, colorless optical glass, then applies a coating to the filter that blocks both UV and IR light outside of the specified range.
Dependence of the light transmission angle in the transmission factor, because the cover layer is thick, this filter cannot be used with a wide-angle lens.
