The HERTZ HMCB 40A is a marine-grade automatic circuit breaker rated at 40 A, with IP67 protection for use in demanding wet and salty conditions. It replaces traditional fuse holders and fuses, and after a trip it can be reset with a single action once the fault has been cleared, so there is no need to keep replacing fuses.
The housing and corrosion-resistant terminals are designed to withstand salt spray, vibration, impact and heat. It suits boats, motorcycles and car audio systems, and its high current capacity makes it suitable for demanding electrical setups.
Weighing 100 g in a black finish, it is compact and straightforward to fit. According to the manufacturer, it is also intended for hunting, fishing, boating and airsoft use.
