Helen H. Durrant - A következő áldozat

The tortured and burned body of a young man is found in a drain in a derelict Manchester estate. It soon turns out that he was killed by a cruel serial killer who leads the police by the nose. In addition, suspicion is directed at the secret love of the chief inspector Rachel King, who is leading the investigation, about whom she cannot tell even her most trusted friend.

The case is further complicated by a student girl who had something to do with the first victim and who has been maniacally searching for her lost twin for years. But even her own father does not believe that she ever had a brother.

Divorced mother and police detective Rachel's work and personal life become more and more intertwined, until finally she will do anything, even team up with one of the local crime lords, to protect her family and solve the case.
