Switch between 360° panoramic images and high-resolution single-lens images with a single device with the GoPro MAX2 360 action camera. With opposite-side lenses that switch between single and dual-lens modes, the MAX2 can record up to 8K30 360 video and 4K60 single-lens video. The camera can take 29MP 360° photos and 12MP single-lens photos. The improved 1960 mAh Enduro battery can operate the camera even during longer shooting days. The built-in Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connection enables fast file transfer directly to your smartphone using the GoPro Quik app.

True 8K 360° video
Take panoramic 8K video with ease, simply by pressing the shutter button. You don't have to compose the image, as the double lens captures a 360° field of view. Switch to the Quik app to recompose footage into single-lens UHD 4K video with just a few taps. 8K recording supports 10-bit color depth for realistic color reproduction and smooth transitions. Advanced users can turn on the GP-Log function to get even more detailed images without having to correct the images afterwards.

More creative modes
MAX2 supports multiple ways to create creative videos and photos. Capture 29MP 360° stills with the flexibility to crop, zoom and reframe. Super Slo-Mo UHD records 4K100 video in 3x slow motion or 5.6K60 video in 2x slow motion. MotionFrame lets you edit video directly by moving your phone and capture your best shots with keyframes. Add CameraFX to your video with Spin, Flip, Roll, Wobble, Tiny Planet and more. TimeWarp, Time-Lapse and Night-Lapse modes speed up time in smooth 8K resolution. Additional night effects allow you to creatively take different night pictures with natural and artificial light even after dark. Scheduled Recording allows your GoPro camera to turn on and record up to 24 hours in advance.

Single lens video and Max HyperView
Record 4K60 video in single-lens mode with the front or rear lens. The 180° Max HyperView digital lens records ultra-wide-angle, familiar GoPro videos.

You can also choose from other lens sizes: Linear, Wide-angle, Ultra-wide-angle and Max SuperView.

HyperSmooth stabilization and horizon lock
Maximum HyperSmooth stabilization ensures smooth video even for high-speed action shots, such as mountain biking or skydiving. Horizon lock keeps the horizon perfectly straight, so viewers are properly oriented, even when the camera is completely upside down during shooting.

Surround sound
To complement the camera's spherical video, it also records spherical sound. With six microphones, you can capture sounds from all directions, creating a fully immersive 360° surround video playback experience. In single-lens mode, you can also turn on the Audio Field of View function, which focuses the audio recording on the image seen by the camera.

Interchangeable glass lenses
The dual lenses of the MAX2 are replaceable if scratched or damaged. Their optical glass structure creates a water-repellent surface and allows you to take pictures safely even in extreme conditions. The lenses help reduce lens flare and other distortions to preserve clear images.

Timecode synchronization
Sync multiple MAX2s wirelessly with timecode and the GoPro Quik app. This makes recording an activity from several angles even easier to edit afterwards.

Quik application
With the Reframe feature in the Quik app, you can turn your amazing 360 footage into traditional, easy-to-watch and shareable videos that will wow your audience.

Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connection
Bluetooth audio connects to wireless microphone systems for better audio recording. You can also connect wireless headphones, so the MAX2 can hear your voice commands even in noisy environments. You can transfer files from your cloud-connected camera to your phone via Wi-Fi 6 or Bluetooth 5.3 and the Quik app. You can also connect your phone via the USB-C port and with the included cable. Unlimited cloud storage takes care of everything for you with automatic uploads.

Battery life and recording
The MAX2 has an Enduro 1960mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides great performance even in cold temperatures. The camera also includes two protective lens caps, a curved self-adhesive cap, a mounting clip, and a USB-C cable for charging and file transfers.
