This Goobay USB 2.0 adapter cable lets you connect serial (RS-232) devices to your computer's USB port. The transparent cable measures 1.5 metres and features a USB-A plug on one end and an RS-232 serial connector on the other.
The cable uses a Prolific chipset and supports data transfer rates of up to 1 Mbps. It is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10 and 11.
The adapter is a practical solution for serial equipment such as industrial machinery, measuring instruments or older peripherals that lack a native USB port. Data is transmitted using the USB 2.0 protocol.
