GIGASET Basic 100 dect phone black

Introduction

Cordless (DECT) phones are the beneficial technologies of our time, which allow users to make calls with much more freedom of movement than corded models. I highlight the important features and functions that enhance the user experience and benefits of this device.

Handset and Design

The phone has a 1.5" illuminated (amber color) LCD display, thanks to which the user can easily see the information displayed on the display. The handset search function button is located on the base station, with the help of which the user can easily find his lost handsets.

Functions

The phone has many useful features that increase the comfort of users. For example, with Caller ID, the phone displays the name and number of the caller. The "Do Not Disturb" feature built into the device allows the user to block all incoming calls. And with the call blocking function, the user can block up to 50 phone numbers (e.g. fraudulent phone numbers, telemarketing).

Up to 50 names and numbers can be stored in the phone book, and these can be easily copied between different handsets. The function keys allow the user to easily turn off the ringer, mute the microphone or activate the keypad lock.

Compatibility

The DECT phone is hearing aid compatible (HAC), which allows even hearing-impaired users to use it easily. The adjustable ringing volume (handset ringing) has five levels, from silent to the highest volume.

Operating time and energy consumption

The device has up to 200 hours of standby time and 18 hours of talk time. It is important to mention that the device works with two AAA (NiMH) rechargeable batteries. ECO DECT technology can reduce energy consumption by up to 60% thanks to the energy-saving power supply.

Indoor and outdoor range

The indoor range of the cordless phone is approx. 50 meters, while the outdoor range can be up to 300 meters. If necessary, the range can be increased using the Gigaset Repeater HX signal repeater.
