Gerben Ferenc - Boldogult olvasókoromban

In this volume, the reader encounters an assorted collection of my shorter writings. I have been engaged in reading research for half a century, but in this selection I am not limited to changes in reading habits and reader tastes, the value environment of reading, the relationship with identity and religiosity, and so on. I publish my written studies. I have always considered myself a "human sociologist" close to the literature. Therefore, more personal, literary genres are included in the volume. The series of writings begins with a letter to Ernő Nemecsek, and then we figuratively accompany János Boka to a real war. Later, the reader can also find details taken from my reading diary, poetry analyzes, and interviews with me. And if the title of the book - in the wake of Krúdy - quotes "my prosperous reading age", I will also tell the story of my readings. Finally, based on the opinions of the interviewees, the volume deals with the peculiarities and future chances of traditional and digital reading.
