The Freewell lens hood for the Fujifilm XF 23mm F2.8 lens, in black, combines a sun shade with a magnetic filter system. Its design reduces light reflections and protects the front element of the lens from dust, scratches and accidental knocks. The integrated magnetic holder allows UV, PL and Glow Mist 1/4 filters to be swapped quickly without extra adapters.

Each filter serves a clear purpose. The UV filter guards the front element and reduces the effect of ultraviolet light, helping to keep images sharp. The PL polarising filter cuts reflections and deepens colours, which is useful for water, skies and landscapes. The Glow Mist 1/4 filter softens light gently for a more cinematic look in photos and video.

The filters use toughened glass, and the hood is machined from aluminium, which keeps the set light and durable. Fitting is simple: remove the lens cap and turn the hood clockwise until it locks. If it sits slightly off level, the included 0.9 mm hex key allows adjustment. The package also includes a filter case and a cleaning cloth.
