The task of this book is to popularize the oeuvre of Józsi Jenő Tersánszky. According to Antal Szerb, "literary history is primarily not science, but propaganda. Propaganda for the sake of good literature. Its purpose is to create an appetite for reading real literary works". That is why this book was born. To create an appetite for understanding the uniqueness of Tersánszky by recalling the twists and turns of the biography, with confessions given in interviews, and highlighting the details of novels that are still noteworthy and recommended for reading.

Jenő Józsi Tersánszky has stated more than once that he writes only out of compulsion, for money, otherwise he would rather be a musical clown in the big circus. He was much more interested in life's thousand possibilities than writing. He practiced the art of woodcarving at a high level, was a director, actor, singer and set designer in his own cabaret, whistled with two notes, invented a new bicycle brake and a collapsible boat, performed as a "dizzer" in bars and coffee houses, and became an expert in reconstructing and making the horn whistle sound. The self-righteous man who lived an incomparably interesting life was primarily a writer, which is why we still remember him to this day.
