Everyone eats! There is no other activity that affects all people on Earth so extensively. The Bible also presents the diet of the people of that time in an extremely diverse way, the elements of agriculture, the stages of food production, the strangeness of dietary habits, and also when there was nothing to eat.
But eating does not only appear in the pages of the Holy Scriptures as a rite that fits into the order of everyday life, but its sacred aspect and rich symbolic system also play an important role.
Our book combines the curiosity of a Bible reader, that is, the author's desire to know God, with his experiences among Asian peoples who still preserve traditions.
