FOSSiBOT DC-DC car charger 580W FAC580

The FOSSiBOT FAC580 is a DC-DC car charger with a maximum output of 580 W, allowing portable power stations to be charged quickly even while driving. According to the manufacturer, it charges up to six times faster than a standard 96 W cigarette lighter socket, with a conversion efficiency of 92%. It is stated to be compatible with all FOSSiBOT power stations and with around 99% of models from other brands, making it suitable for cars, SUVs, vans, motorhomes, commercial vehicles, trucks and yachts.

The output adjusts automatically to the input voltage. In the first mode, designed for charging on the move, the charger delivers up to 300 W at 13.2 to 14 V and up to 580 W above 14 V; charging stops below 13.2 V. The second mode serves as an emergency function when the engine is off: it provides up to 300 W at 12 to 12.75 V and up to 580 W above 12.75 V, and switches off automatically below 12 V to protect the vehicle battery from excessive discharge.

A fan on the left side and a vent on the right help keep the unit cool and maintain stable charging performance. Multi-level protection against overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, short circuit, reverse connection, and temperatures that are too high or too low adds safety during long journeys and heavy use. The package includes the charger, a 5 m vehicle battery cable, a 0.5 m power cable, six screws, four terminal covers, a screwdriver and a user manual.
