FNIRSI WD-01 wire detector for detecting metal wood and electrical wires WD-01

The FNIRSI WD-01 is a wall scanner that locates metal, wood and live electrical wiring behind walls and floors. Checking before drilling, fixing shelves or doing finishing work helps you avoid damaging concealed cables and structural elements.

The detector picks up magnetic metals such as steel and rebar, non-magnetic metals including copper pipes and wires, wooden framing and live electrical cables. Two scanning modes, Deep and Exact, let you adjust the search to the task at hand. Metals can be detected to a depth of around 120 mm and copper to around 100 mm. A central positioning hole makes it easier to mark the exact drilling point, while the backlit display shows depth, material type and position. Note that de-energised cables may not be detected reliably.

With a compact housing, silicone buttons and a rechargeable built-in battery charged via USB-C, the scanner suits both DIY users and professionals. The package includes the detector, a USB-C cable, a storage case and a user manual.
