The FIBARO Door/Window Sensor 2 is a wireless contact sensor for opening detection in smart home systems. It uses the Z-Wave interface to report whether a door or window is open or closed to the central controller of your system. Its white housing measures 18 x 71 x 18 mm and weighs only 25 g, so it can be mounted discreetly on frames and sashes.
The sensor runs on an ER14250 battery with an input voltage of 3.6 V. Communication is wireless via the Z-Wave protocol, so no cabling is required. This makes the device well suited for retrofitting into existing installations.
In a connected home, the sensor provides reliable information about the status of entrances and windows and can be integrated into automation routines.
