Fellinger Károly - Szimering

"Károly Fellinger is a master of compression, of the poetic speech with omissions, of paradoxes."
Louis Grendel

The poems of the author from the highlands have so far been published in book form in eleven foreign languages. In Fellinger's poetry, it is as if we see Escher's visual paradoxes put into words: when we leave the grave, we arrive at the same place, paradise on earth is one step away from hell and, in fact, indistinguishable. We drive him who drives us, we show him who shows us - poet and subject, poem and theme are the same. A fragmented myth of a village, a family, a community around the slowly dissipating shadow of the father.
