Federico Baccomo - Anna éppen hazudik

Do you want to know if they are lying to you? Your mobile can tell you. Of course, a free app can also have a high price... Riccardo Merisio overcame a difficult phase in his life, but gradually learned to smile again. He has a new job, and perhaps a more serious relationship has begun to develop with a female colleague. However, one night, while he is chatting with Anna, a message appears on his mobile screen, instructing him to download an application called WhatsTrue. You cannot escape the prompt, and from the moment the app is installed, strange things happen: next to most of the incoming messages, a small warning line appears, stating that the person is lying. I wonder what this is? Some cheeky publicity stunt? Or is the program really able to determine when a person is not telling the truth? Riccardo is increasingly overcome by paranoia, he no longer trusts almost anyone, and he feels that the boundaries between reality and imagination are collapsing. Nothing is black or white in Federico Baccomo's intelligent and original novel. The characters are both cheaters and cheated, while the story addresses the relevant questions of our time: To what extent can we entrust the management of our relationship to modern technology? Can sincere feelings be built on a foundation of lies? Is it worth chasing perfection, or should we compromise and try to simply be happy?
