Product description
The XX. At the beginning of the 20th century, the crisis was a prominent theme in European thinking. This study contributes to the creation of the Hungarian krisiskanon by presenting numerous authors and works, and tries to create the conditions for further research. The system of criteria used during the thematic examination of the reception of Kierkegaard, Nietzsche and Spengler in Hungary can facilitate the further expansion of the range of works containing crisis concepts. In the second half of the thesis, two crisis theories are examined. Sándor Tavaszy applies Spengler's theses to Hungarian conditions and creates a specific minority philosophy. Based on the compilation of a thematic bibliography and his essays looking for a solution, Béla Hamvas can be considered the creator of domestic crisisology. Szilárd Farkas PhD (1981) obtained a teaching degree at the University of Pécs in philosophy, then Hungarian language and literature. After that, he was a student of the Institution's Doctoral School of Philosophy. He defended his doctoral dissertation in 2014, the results of which were summarized in the book published by Sren Aabye Kierkegaard's reception in Hungarian in the 1930s. His research area is the history of Hungarian philosophy, Sren Kierkegaard and György Lukács, as well as crisis philosophy.
