In the shadow of the Second World War, the biggest risk for two strangers is to trust each other...
December 1943. Before Hitler came to power, the summer residence of the Gerber family echoed with laughter. Now that a deep blanket of snow covers the Black Forest, German dissident Franka Gerber is alone and feels her life is hopeless. He lost his father and younger brother due to the fanaticism and brutality raging in his country, so he no longer has anything to live for.
He then notices an unconscious pilot in the snow wearing a Luftwaffe uniform with his parachute fluttering in the wind. Franka doesn't want the man to die there, so she takes him to her family's remote cabin - even though she hates the regime the soldier represents. But when it turns out he's not who he seems, Franka races against time to uncover the pilot's true identity. Their weak bond becomes very strong, but it also becomes extremely dangerous. With the Gestapo on their trail, can they trust each other enough to join forces to carry out a mission - one that will change not only the outcome of the war, but also their lives forever?
