Elgato launched a useful little accessory on the market, which can be of interest primarily to streamers, because they can create a streaming camera from cameras with an HDMI port, which can be connected directly to the given PC or Mac via a USB port. The device was actually already commercially available under the name Cam Link, with Full HD support, but the latest edition finally supports 4K cameras as well.
To use Cam Link 4K, you will need a compatible digital SLR camera, action camera, or other camera with HDMI video output that is listed on the compatibility list. The camera's HDMI-based video signal is received by Cam Link 4K, which is connected to the given system via a USB 3.0 port.
