Product description
In this volume, the life path of a man unfolds before the Reader, who survived the bloody eras of the twentieth century as an exceptional modern-day polymath (excellent mechanical design engineer, brave soldier, talented drawing and painting artist, outstanding athlete).
The life of Lieutenant Colonel Béla Haris, military engineer, is of course not unique in the trying decades of dictatorships, as tens and tens of thousands shared similar or even more severe ordeals. What makes him stand out among his contemporaries, who were dragged away and ostracized, is the large number of high-quality engineering works he forgot or deliberately tried to forget, his solid Catholic character and morals. During the most difficult periods of his life, his humanism, deep-rooted love for his nation and family helped him endure his trials and maintain his unbroken creative spirit. Despite his humiliations, stigmatization that lasted until the end of his life, and the discrimination of his family members, he contributed to the creation of dozens of military and civilian facilities and equipment over time, many of which we still use every day.
With his life and activities, Béla Haris earned the respect and appreciation of posterity as a person who could always rise above his weaknesses and mistakes, and he can be set as an example for future generations to follow.
