Drew Williams - Gazdátlan stars

A hundred years ago, a mysterious wave of energy called the Impulse swept through the universe, destroying most modern technology. Although some solar systems remained intact, most were in chaos.

A secret group of super soldiers has been working for a long time to restore order. One of their most successful members is a mercenary named Kamali. He travels from planet to planet looking for and rescuing young people with supernatural abilities who were born as a reminder of the energy wave. The secret group hopes that these people will be able to solve the mystery of the energy surge, reverse the damage, and ensure that the phenomenon never happens again.

Kamali's journey is not without danger, and she is not the only one looking for these people. When one of his missions goes awry while wandering galaxies full of tense conflicts, remnants of ancient technology, and secret dangers, he suddenly finds himself in the middle of an intergalactic war against a force unaffected by the Impulse that wants to dominate the known worlds. An impossible mission begins: Kamali, accompanied by a girl with telekinetic abilities and an AI preacher, sets out to save the world.

Drew Williams' debut novel is a galaxy-spanning story of war, betrayal, and the creation of eternal friendships, in which a handful of people resolutely fight for a better future, even at the cost of their lives. The Hostless Stars pays tribute to the classic space operas - its adrenaline-fueled action scenes, cheeky humor and lovable characters will stay with the reader for a long time.
